A big congratulations to Lamiglas Team Member Joe Diorio for taking the Angler of the Year Award in the 2018 Striper Cup put on by On The Water Magazine. This is now Joe's third time winning the award. He took also took the honors in 2014 and 2015.
Joe had an incredible year on the water this season, catching and releasing multiple striped bass over 50 pounds with Lamiglas rods and even one behemoth that was an estimated 73 pound fish.....the biggest documented striped bass to be caught and most importantly released in a long time!

Joe had this incredible season while helping Lamiglas test out the new Black Inshore series all year long. Not only did they only pass the test, but they helped Joe land at least 5 Striped Bass over 50 pounds on ONE ROD, his favorite model, the B7320S, a medium/heavy 7'3" spinning model.

Joe Diorio has been a valuable member of Team Lamiglas for a number of years now. He is an extremely passionate and versatile multi species angler. Throughout the course of the year he can be found chasing striped bass, false albacore, sea bass and other saltwater species in his home waters off the coast of Connecticut, stalking the Salmon River in Pulaski, NY for steelhead and salmon, or even ice fishing for bass, pike and sometimes striped bass during the winter months!
